Geneva, SANA- The UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan De Mistura said he seeks to hold a new round of the Syrian-Syrian dialogue in Geneva before the end of the coming month.
In a press conference in Geneva on Tuesday, De Mistura clarified that there was a progress at the triple meeting on Syria which came together representatives of Russia and the United States.
The meeting, according to De Mistura, dealt with the urgent need to enhance the cessation of hostilities agreement, the fight against terrorism, the political settlement for the crisis in Syria and sending the humanitarian aid to the
needy people.
De Mistura considered that the understanding reached by the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the Secretary of State John Kerry will create appropriate conditions to push forward the Syrian-Syrian dialogue to reach a political settlement for the crisis in Syria.
He called on Russia and the US to exert more efforts during the coming days.
