Cabinet ministers visit injured soldiers on Eid al-Fitr

Damascus, SANA – Prime Minster Wael al-Halqi, Defense Minister General Fahed Jassem al-Freij and Dr. Malei Ali, caretaker Minister of Higher Education paid a visit to the army’s wounded at Martyr Yusuf Azmeh Hospital on Monday.

The ministers also inspected the services circumstances at al-Mwasat and Children hospitals.

Al-Halqi said that President Bashar al-Assad has instructed that communications be established with citizens and inspecting the services provided to them.

“There is great interest in hospitals to allay the pain and suffering of the heroes of the Syrian army and armed forces who stopped at nothing in offering sacrifices for the homeland to remain strong,” PM said.

Inspecting medical services at al-Mwasat Hospital, al-Halqi said the hospital has borne the brunt of the current crisis and struggled with major challenges, working, along with other hospitals, around the clock to deliver health services to citizens.

Al-Halqi, while inspecting the Children’s Hospital, refuted allegations about a shortage in medical services offered to citizens and claims that the Syrian government is not doing enough to provide health services in the restive areas, saying the government is providing services to all Syrian citizens without discrimination, a trait, he said, that characterizes  the strategy of the Syrian government.

Al-Halqi affirmed that the health establishments are always on high alert around the clock to render the optimal services to citizens which he deems “no less important than the role of the Syrian army on the battlefield.”

Injured army personnel expressed gratitude for the government’s medical and moral support provided to them.
