Terrorists violate cessation of hostilities agreement four more times

Lattakia, SANA – The cessation of hostilities agreement was breached four times by terrorist groups in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of breaches to 795 since the agreement came into effect on 27 February, the Russian center monitoring the agreement said on Wednesday.

The Russian center, based in Hmeimim airbase in Lattakia, added in a statement that the so-called Jaish al-Islam terrorists targeted the residential neighborhoods in Damascus.

The statement said that the ISIS and Jabhat al- Nusra terrorists continue their attempts to foil the agreement through firing local-made rounds and mortar shells on al-Nirab Airport and al-Sheikh Maqsoud, al-Khaldiyeh and al-Zahra neighborhoods
in Aleppo.

It added that the ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists also shelled the villages of al-
Baharieh, Douma, Jober and al-Qaboun in Damascus Countryside and Tair Ma’le village in Homs and al-Baath city in Quneitra.

The cessation of hostilities agreement is not applicable to ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra and other groups designated as terrorist organizations by the UN Security Council.
