Damascus, SANA – Temperatures remain around average in most areas as the country is influenced by the Indian low pressure system accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Tuesday bulletin that today will be a typical summer day and the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general, while the weather will be hot and misty in the eastern, al-Badiya (desert) and al-Jazira areas.
There will be a slight chance of showers over the coastal mountains, according to the bulletin.
The wind will be westerly to northwesterly of moderate speed and sometimes active with dust in some inland areas, while the sea waves will be low to medium in amplitude.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 35/23, Daraa 34/22, Homs 32/22, Lattakia 30/24, Aleppo 36/23 and Deir Ezzor 41/26.
