Moscow, SANA-The Syrian government is ready for the resumption of the intra-Syrian talks in Geneva, Special Envoy of the Russian president for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov told TASS on Monday.
“As far as I understand, the entire leadership in Damascus is ready for the resumption of inter-Syrian talks and they have no problems with forming the government’s delegation,” the envoy said.
In response to a question about the timeframe of the talks resumption, the Russian envoy said Moscow insisted on their quickest restart but the exact dates had not yet been determined. “As we always say, the sooner, the better,” he said.
