Russian army’s Chief of Staff: We are fed up with situation in Syria, not the Americans

Moscow, SANA- Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia Valery Gerasimov said on Monday “We are fed up with the situation in Syria, not the Americans,” in response to the latest statements of the US Secretary of state John Kerry reading Syria.

Gerasimov added in a press statement that Moscow is still committed to the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria, affirming that the US side faces difficulties with the opposition that it dominates.

He went on to say that the Russian Defense Ministry sends to the Americans data about the places and positions of ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra, but the US side couldn’t separate between those called “the opposition” and the terrorists.

Moscow has stressed that Washington didn’t meet its obligations regarding separation between the armed opposition groups affiliated to it and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization.

“The Americans want to consider the shelling operations of the opposition gunmen against the Syrian army’s positions as mere intangible violations of the cessation of hostilities agreement, in turn, they describe the military responding operations of the Syrian army against the gunmen as nonequivalent strikes,” Gerasimov said.
