Lavrov calls for more steps to implement Security Council resolutions on Syria

Moscow, SANA – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called for studying additional steps to implement the UN Security Council resolutions regarding the situation in Syria.

RT website said Lavrov discussed during his meeting with his Jordanian counterpart Nasser Judeh the necessary additional steps that need to be taken to implement the international resolutions regarding the settlement in Syria.

The two sides also discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them.

On Tuesday, Lavrov called during a telephone call with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry for committing to the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria during Ramadan, asserting that a stable cessation of hostilities will allow settling the issues of humanitarian aid delivery and pushing forward with the dialogue between the Syrian government and the “opposition”.
