11 people killed, including 7 policemen, 36 others injured in car bomb in Istanbul

Istanbul, SANA _ At least 11 Turkish people, including 7 policemen, were killed and 36 others were injured in a car bomb targeted a police bus in central Istanbul, Istanbul Governor Vasip Sahin said.

The governor added, in a statement, that a car bomb was detonated Tuesday morning at a busy junction in the Beyazit district, killing 7 policemen and 4 civilians and wounding 36, three are in critical condition.

Earlier Sunday, a Turkish soldier was killed and another was wounded in an attack targeted a military vehicle on a road in the north of the country.
