Kuala Lumpur, SANA – Syria’s Muna Shheiber won the gold medal in (60 kg) category at the 17th Malaysian OPEN Karate Championship 2016.

This participation in the Championship, which brought together players from 25 countries, is Syria’s second international participation this year.

The Syrian national karate team earlier took part in the Karate1 Premier League in Sharm El-Sheikh 2016, where Shheiber came second and won the silver medal.
