Damascus, SANA, Al-Jaish handball team won Sunday the Republic Cup of 2015-2016 for men after defeating Al-Talee’a team 23-19 in the final match at Al-Fayhaa Sports Hall in Damascus.
Maj. General Yasser Shaheen, Director of Al-Jaish’s Physical Training Department said handball had difficult times during the past few years but it was able to return in good performance during the current year as it was reflected in the hard competition among participating teams of the Cup, pointing out that the match was technically good from both teams.
Meanwhile, Al-Shou’la team ranked the third in the Cup competition after defeating Al-Nawa’eer by 30-28.
