Legal status of 202 gunmen resolved in Hasaka and Homs

Provinces, SANA – The legal status of 105 gunmen from across Hasaka province who had turned themselves in and handed in their weapons to the authorities were resolved on Monday.

Likewise, the legal status of 97 gunmen from Homs city and its countryside were resolved after they turned themselves in to the authorities.

In both cases, the gunmen were released after they pledged not to take part in any action that could tamper with the security of the country and its citizens.

A number of those who had their legal status settled said they were happy to be given the opportunity to mend ways and lead a normal life, urging those who have lost their bearings and got involved into vile acts to follow suit.

Increasing numbers of people who have been enticed to get involved into acts that harm national security have displayed willingness to reverse course, handing themselves and weapons in to authorities, with national reconciliations proceeding afoot in several areas across Syria.
