Moscow, SANA- Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday that it is impossible to suspend the fight against terrorist organizations in Syria who are making attempts to gain control over parts of the country’s territory.
“We acknowledge a difficult situation in a number of Syrian areas, where terrorist groups make attempts to regain control over these or those territories. We are certainly sure that it cannot be allowed and it is impossible to stop the struggle against these terrorist organizations,” Peskov told reporters.
Peskov called for continuing the intra-Syrian talks in Geneva as a necessary condition for the crisis settlement, indicating that the Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Barack Obama focused during a phone call yesterday on the importance of preserving the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria.
