A child killed, several people injured in terrorist shelling in Aleppo city

Aleppo, SANA – A number of mortar and rocket shells were fired on al-Sheik Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo city on Saturday, in a new breach of the cessation of hostilities agreement by the terrorist organizations.

According to local sources, 5 shells landed in the neighborhood, which is located on the northern outskirts of the city.

The shelling was carried out by terrorist groups positioned in adjacent neighborhoods who have earlier agreed to the cessation of hostilities, which came into effect on February 27.

The attack killed a child and left a number of people injured, most of them are women and children, in addition to causing material damage to several houses.

Over 347 breaches of the cessation of hostilities by terrorist groups have been observed since the agreement was enforced. Most of the incidents took place in Aleppo, Damascus, Homs and Lattakia, according to the Russian coordination center at Hmeimim base.
