7 breaches of cessation of hostilities during past 24 hours

Lattakia, SANA – The Russian Coordination Center at Hmeimim Airport said that it monitored 7 breaches of the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria during the past 24 hours, raising the total number of breaches to 285 since the agreement came into effect on February 27th.

The Center said in a statement published on the Russian Defense Ministry’s website that 3 people were killed due to artillery shelling by Jabhat al-Nusra in Idleb province, and that information from Hama indicates that terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra abducted 12 people from towns east of Hama city for taking part in national reconciliation efforts.

The Center’s director, Lieutenant General Sergey Koralinko, said that there has been increase in provocations carried out by al-Nusra terrorists during the past week, asserting that the Russian Aerospace Forces haven’t directed airstrikes against the groups that announced their commitment to the cessation of hostilities.
