Damascus, SANA- Chairman of the General Sports Federation Muwafaq Jum’a met on Thursday with members of an Iraqi sports delegation and discussed with them prospects of sport cooperation.
The Iraqi figures, who included head, deputy and members of the Iraqi Sports Unio, expressed their support for Syria as it is being targeted by the forces of world hegemony and imperialism.
They voiced their belief that Syria will remain strong no matter what and will continue to play its role in defending the Arab Nation against the U.S. and Zionist intervention.
Jum’a, for his part, highlighted the deep brotherly ties binding Iraq and Syria, adding that all sport capabilities in Syria are available for the Iraqi Sports Union to benefit from.
