Sweida, SANA-Governor of Sweida Atef al-Naddaf discussed on Wednesday with representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Syria Sajad Malik the reality of relief and humanitarian work and means to enhance cooperation to meet the needs of affected families due to terrorist attacks.
The two sides also discussed the possibility of carrying out joint plans between them to improve the situation of displaced families.
Al-Naddaf suggested setting up joint small income-generating projects to take advantage of available materials in the province and in parallel with “Mashroue” (My Project) program which helped in creating about 7300 job opportunities.
For his part, Malik pointed out that his visit aims at inspecting relief work in the province and the needs of makeshift centers and the warehouses of the UNHCR as well as establishing joint projects with the province.
Malik affirmed the readiness of the Commission to continue cooperation and coordination with the Syrian government to provide displaced people and refugees in Syria with aid.
