DAMASCUS,(SANA)-The People’s Assembly approved a draft law regulating the appointment of the real estate judges, ending the law No./89 /for 1958.
That came during a session held Tuesday chaired by People’s Assembly Speaker Mohammad Jihad al-Laham.
The law comes in accordance with the provisions of the constitution as it is considered a step towards achieving the independence of the judicial authority, and it works on avoiding the delay in separating the lawsuits.
The law also aims to enhance the role of the General Establishment of Real Estate in supervising the judges’ work .
It contains granting new advantages that help the judges fulfill their jobs, the most prominent of which are immunity and retirement benefits.
