Damascus, SANA- Temperatures remain higher than average as the country is being affected by a high air pressure accompanied by a northwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Tuesday bulletin that the weather will be clear to partly cloudy in general and cold.
The winds will be southeastern of light speed, while the sea waves will be of low amplitude.
On Wednesday temperatures will rise to become higher than average from 2 to 4 degrees, while the weather remains clear to partly cloudy.
The Ministry of agriculture and agrarian reforms said in its rain bulletin that rain fell in a number of Syrian provinces during the past 24 hours. The heaviest were 7mm in Homs and Aleppo.
Rains in other provinces were 3mm in Damascus and its countryside, 1mm in Quneitra, 3mm in Hama, 1mm in Tartous, 3mm in Lattakia.
The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 14/05, Daraa 15/05, Homs 12/04, Hama 13/05, Hasaka 12/03, Lattakia 16/10, Aleppo 11/03 and Deir Ezzor 14/05.
