7 civilians killed, others injured in terrorist attacks in Aleppo and Hasaka

Provinces, SANA – Six civilians, including four children, were killed in a terrorist attack with rocket shells on Tal Aran village in the southeastern countryside of Aleppo provinces.

A source at the Police Command said in a statement to SANA reporter that terrorists positioned in Balat village targeted Tal Aran in al-Sfeira area with three rocket shells as students were leaving school, killing six civilians, including four children.

The source added that 7 other civilians were severely injured in the attack.

One of the shells smashed into a house, destroying parts of it, according to the source.

Earlier, an electricity maintenance worker was injured on Thursday by an explosive device that had been planted by terrorists before fleeing Ebtin area.

Director of the Electricity Company Abd al-Elah Talalini told SANA the worker was injured while fixing the power network in Ebtin village in Aleppo southern countryside to which the army restored security on October 16.

Talalini said the worker was hospitalized, adding that 3 of the worker’s fingers were amputated and his left shoulder was injured.

The maintenance teams are continuing their work in the area, he stressed.

Hasaka

In the same context, a civilian was killed in the explosion of a landmine previously planted by ISIS terrorist groups near al-Faj village, 23 km to the east of al-Hasaka City.

A source at Hasaka Police Command told SANA that a landmine exploded on Wednesday night while a car was passing in the surroundings of al-Faj village in the eastern countryside, claiming the life of the driver.

The source added that the landmine is one of the remnants of ISIS terrorists as they had planted it before they fled the area earlier this year.
