The participants in the event proposed holding a conference for the Islamic and Christian clergymen.
There cannot be a religious state, because God did not create states, but human, the Grand Mufti said.

Krganov awarded Hassoun an honorary medal in appreciation of his services in developing and enhancing cooperation among the peoples.
The Grand Mufti thanked His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia for his efforts in supporting the oppressed people and in facing the systematic international terrorism targeting Syria.
Hassoun said Syria is an ancient cultural country which has deep-rooted and historical ties with its friends, mainly the Russian people who believe in the noble values of the mankind and the right of the peoples in determining their fate along with maintaining the values and norms of religions.
He added that Syrian people are enjoying a civil national unity along with maintaining the moderate religious faith which believes in the right of each one in choosing his belief with no obligation as the Takfiries do.
Syria’s ambassador in Moscow Riyad Haddad, in turn, warned against the dangers of the spreading of the Takfiri terrorism on the national security of all the countries of the world without any exceptions, indicating that eliminating terrorism require unifying all efforts.
