Iran: Conspiracy against Syria foundered

Tehran, SANA – The conspiratorial scheme by powers that sought to undermine Syria has failed, prompting them to move to Iraq in a bid to foment terrorism and chaos in this country, Iran’s Foreign Ministry said.

Spokesman for the Ministry Marzieh Afkham warned during a weekly briefing on Wednesday against using terrorism to push for regime change in the region, saying that this phenomenon “will sweep the region unless there is cooperation among regional countries to counter it.”

As she called for “a ground for dialogue and regional cooperation” to be prepared to counter terrorism, Afkham hoped that other countries will join Iran to curb its risks on the entire region.
