Syria’s national U-16 football team leaves World Cup Championship

Santiago, SANA- Syria’s national U-16 football team left the competitions of the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup held in Chile after it lost its match to the French team 0-4.

Coming in the third place in Group six in goal difference, the Syrian team had to win the game with the French team after it drew nil-nil with New Zealand on Thursday in the second round of the group competitions.

The team thus picked up its first and yet only point in the championship after its game with New Zealand, having already lost its first match to the Paraguayan team 1-4.
