Polish businessmen in Lodz show readiness for economic cooperation with the Syrian side

Warsaw, SANA – The Syrian economic delegation visiting Poland met Witold Gerlicz, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Lodz, an economic hub and one of the largest cities in Poland.

Heading the Syrian delegation that started a visit in Poland on October 20, Assistant Minister of Industry Nidal Fallouh discussed with Gerlicz means to boost economic cooperation, with the latter expressing willingness to cooperate in the various fields.

Gerlicz said he had been to Syria twice before, where he met with the representatives of the commerce and industry chambers of Damascus, Aleppo and Homs.

Following the meeting, both sides held an extensive session of talks that was attended by a large number of Polish businessmen and representatives of Polish companies.

Fallouh saw in that attendance an encouraging sign of the Polish side’s desire to cooperate with the Syrian side.

This willingness to enhance cooperation was actually expressed in the words of the Polish businessmen, who said they were ready to discuss all means that would help translating this desire into tangible results.
