Sharm El-Sheikh, SANA- The Annual Meeting of the General Assembly of the Alliance of Mediterranean News Agencies “AMAN” starts activities Monday at the Egyptian City of Sharm El-Sheikh with the participation of the Syrian Arab News Agency “SANA” represented by its Director-General Ahmed Dawa.
The three-day meeting will discuss the situations of AMAN and enhancing media and technical cooperation between AMAN members.
Two sessions will also be held to discuss the role of media in combating extremism and terrorism in the Mediterranean region and in protecting journalists in the tension areas in the region.
On Sunday, AMAN held a session that embraced all its members as new proposals on enhancing cooperation between members of the Alliance were discussed to be later proposed during the meeting of AMAN General Assembly.
