Syrians abroad express gratitude for Russia’s backing Syria in fighting terrorism

Budapest, SANA- Hungarian Youth Association, the “Forum for Syria” and the Syrian community in Hungary organized on Sunday a solidarity activity in front of the Russian Embassy in the Hungarian capital of Budapest to express backing Russia’s military support to Syria in fighting terrorism.

Deputy Chairman of “Forum for Syria” in Hungary, Mazen al-Maqet, asserted that the Syrian people will not forget Russia’s stances in Security Council and the United Nations, mainly its stance when the west, under the leadership of the United States, loomed on conducting a direct military assault against Syria in 2013.

The participants in the activity asserted their advowson to the wise policy of Syrian leadership in tackling the crisis and expressed their gratitude for the Russian leadership in its military and political support to Syria .

 Syrians in Cyprus expresses gratitude for Russia’ participation in fighting terrorism in Syria

The Syrian community in Cyprus, in cooperation with the National Union of Syrian Students (NUSS), staged Sunday a mass rally in the Cypriot capital of Nicosia in which the participants expressed their appreciation and gratitude for Russia’s response to the Syrian governments’ request to fight terrorism alongside the Syrian army.

The participants in the march, which was organized on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of October Liberation War of 1973, chanted slogans expressing their support to the homeland and the Syrian leadership.

They praised the victories achieved by the Syrian army in October Liberation War against the Zionist enemy and those which the army is currently achieving in fighting the Arab, regional and western –supported terrorism.

The participant organized also a cars rally touring many neighborhoods in Nicosia.
