Sofia, SANA- The Bulgarian National Movement organized a solidarity event in front of the Russian Embassy in the Bulgarian capital Sofia to show support for the Russian military action in Syria against terrorist organizations.
A number of Bulgarian parties, popular institutions, Syrian, Russian and Armenian nationals and a crowd of Bulgarian people participated in the event and raised the flags of Syria, Russia and Bulgaria.
The participants expressed their support for Syria in its battle against terrorism which is backed by US, Western and Arab countries in addition to Turkey and Israel, hailing the Russian military support to Syria.
They noted that Russian airstrikes against terrorist organizations in Syria in cooperation with Syrian Arab Army Air Force are protecting the entire world from the threat of terrorism.
For his part, Head of the Syrian community in Bulgaria Mohammad Ibrahim expressed the Syrian community’s thanks to Russia for its principled positions towards Syria.
The event concluded by the participants delivering a statement to the representative of the Russian Embassy, expressing their appreciation for the Russian support towards Syria.
