Aleppo, SANA- Aleppo governor Mohammad Wahid Aqqad said an operations room has been established to ensure the return of industrialists to their facilities in Aleppo’s industrial city, vowing that infrastructures will be repaired for production to kick off again.
The governor’s comments came as he inspected Aleppo’s Sheikh Najjar industrial city to which the army has restored security and stability on Friday, a victory, he says “that adds to a series of military achievements by the army in the war against terrorism.”
Inspecting the massive scope of damage done to the industrial hub in Sheikh Najjar, the governor said that up to 100,000 families have been living off the sprawling industrial city which spans an area of 4, 400 hectares. The industrial city, he added, housed up to 1,000 factories before terrorists overran the area.
Secretary of Aleppo branch of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party Ahmad Saleh Ibrahim, who accompanied the governor in the tour, said that establishing full control of the important industrial hub sends a strong message that “the Syrian army heroes are bent to clear every single inch of land of terrorists.”
