Provinces, SANA, The army and armed forces on Saturday continued combating terrorists all over the country, killing scores of them and injuring others.
Damascus Countryside, al-Zabadani
Army units clashed with terrorist groups linked to Jaish al-Islam (Islam Army) near Rahmeh fuel station, al-Mashatel and the quarries area on the western outskirts of Douma in eastern Ghouta.
Field sources told SANA reporter that the clashes, which intensified later in the day, led to the death of scores of terrorists and injuring many others, indicating that the army units destroyed two key gatherings of terrorists near Rahmeh fuel station and in al-Smadi quarries with the terrorists inside them.
Later, a military source told SANA that an army unit killed a number of terrorists and destroyed their vehicles in Harasta.
Terrorist organizations published on their social media pages the names of scores of their fighters who have been killed in today’s clashes.
A military source told SANA that an army unit, assisted by the Lebanese resistance, carried out a swift military operation in the surroundings of al-Rahma mosque in al-Nabu’a neighborhood in al-Zabadani city, resulting in killing a number of terrorists and establishing control over 10 building blocks that terrorists were holed up in.
The source said that operations in al-Nabu’a neighborhood are ongoing and nearing their final stages, adding that the army and the resistance have eliminated all terrorist hotspots in 10 other building blocks in the western area in the direction of the city center and established full control over the blocks.
The source also noted that a weapons and ammo cache for terrorists containing a large amount of RPG and mortar rounds was uncovered near al-Rahma mosque, adding that some of those rounds were of Israeli manufacture.
Earlier, field sources told SANA that an army unit, in cooperation with the Lebanese resistance, destroyed a vehicle along with all the terrorists onboard in Younin Mountain northeast of the city.
The terrorist organizations acknowledged the death of 7 of their members during the army operations in al-Zabadani, posting on their social media pages the names of some of them who included Moahmmad Abdel-Rahim al-Khos, Mahmoud Jihad Awwad, Ahmad Bader-eddin Othman, Ziad Ahmad Nayef Marae, Bassel Mohammad Mazloum and Mustfa Abdel-Ghani al-Tinawi.
Daraa
A unit of the army and armed forces launched strikes against dens of Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood.
A military source said in a statement to SANA that a number of terrorists were killed and others wounded in the army’s strikes, adding that a number of vehicles, some of which equipped with machine guns were damaged in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood near the Jordanian borders.
Meanwhile, terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages that a number of their members were killed including what they called a military emir in al-Muthanna Movement.
Sweida
A unit of the army and armed forces on Saturday carried out a special operation against positions and hotbeds of ISIS terrorists in the surroundings of Tal Ma’az in the northeastern countryside of the southern Sweida province.
A military source told SANA that a number of ISIS terrorists were killed and others were injured in bombardments carried out by a unit of the army in the surroundings of Tal Ma’az to the east of Tal Bouthaina, 35 km to the northeast of Sweida.
The source added that an amount of arms and varied ammunition belonging to ISIS terrorists were also destroyed in the bombardments.
Homs
The army units targeted the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) gatherings and dens to the east of Muthalath Tadmur, northeast of al-Maqale’e and between the entrances of al-zakari and al-Mask valleys in the countryside of Palmyra, about 160 km east of Homs city.
A military source told SANA Saturday that the army operations ended up with the killing of a number of terrorists and the destruction of an armored vehicle and two pick-up cars equipped with machineguns, killing all terrorists onbroad.
The source added that another army unit, in cooperation with the popular defense groups killed and injured a number of (ISIS) terrorists in a special operation that targeted their movements in the village of Unq al-Hawa in the countryside of the central province of Homs.
An army unit targeted the terrorist organizations’ movements in the village of Kafer Laha and on
the road of al-Taybeh al-Gharbiyeh-Mariamin in al-Hula area.
The army operations resulted in the killing scores of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and the destruction of their weapons and ammunition.
Later, at least 4 vehicles were destroyed and two others were damaged in an army’s strike against a convoy for Jabhat al-Nusra on Deir Foul-Al Ameriyeh road.
Seven terrorists were also killed in an army operation against a terrorist den in Deir Foul village, 13 km north of Homs city.
Hama
Army and Armed Forces units carried out a series of intensive operations targeting hideouts of terrorists affiliated with “Jaish al-Fateh” terrorist organizations in al-Latamneh and al-Arba’een in the northern countryside of Hama province.
A military source told SANA that these operations resulted in killing many terrorists, injuring others, and destroying a number of their vehicles.
