Assistant FM.. Growing danger of terrorism a result of wrong polices of countries conspiring against Syria

Damascus, SANA – Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister Ayman Sousan reviewed on Wednesday, during his meeting with a Russian Popular Delegation headed by Valentina Lantseva, Chairwoman of the Russian Spiritual Heritage Foundation of St. Paul, the developments of the situation in Syria.

Sousan stressed that the increasing danger of terrorism is an outcome of the wrong policies of the countries conspiring against Syria and their blatant intervention in Syria’s internal affairs to fulfill their expansionist ambitions, which are shouldered political and moral responsibility, stressing that the Syrian people and Army are resolved to foil the conspiracy that is targeting their homeland.

He expressed Syria’s appreciation of Russia’s stance in support of Syria against the aggression it is facing and the efforts it exerts for finding a political settlement to the current crisis in a way that preserves Syria’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

For their part, members of the delegation expressed understanding of the reality of the events taking place in Syria and their pride over the brave steadfastness of the Syrian people, stressing Russian people’s standing with Syria and continuing to support it for confronting the Takfiri terrorism that threatens the world peace and stability.

The delegation held a number of meetings with Syrian officials since its arrival in Damascus two days ago.
