Beirut, SANA-Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdullahian on Tuesday reiterated his country’s support to Syria, as government and people, in combating terrorism and the political efforts to solve the crisis in Syria.
“We support the political efforts to resolve the crisis in Syria and we believe force or violence would not lead, in any way, to a solution to the pending issues in the region,” Abdullahian said after a meeting with Lebanese Foreign Minister Jibran Bassil.
Earlier, Abdullahian discussed with the UN envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura the latest developments in Syria and the region.
Al-Manar TV added that Abdullahian also discussed with Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berri the situation in Lebanon and the Middle East.
