Beirut, SANA – Speaker of the Parliament of Lebanon Nabih Berri said that Syria is paying the price for being the crux of the resistance axis, and that the sources of terrorism must be dried up to help resolve the crisis in Syria.
In a speech on Sunday, Berri said that Syria is being subjected to terrorism from across the world, stressing the need to making combating terrorism the number one priority and working towards achieving a political solution for the crisis in Syria quickly.
The Speaker called for drying up the sources of funding and arming fterrorism, and also stressed that border-crossing terrorism is spreading across Arab countries, warning that the areas that some consider safe from terrorism are actually fulcrums or springboards for terrorists.
