Tartous, SANA – Revenues of the General Company of Tartous Port in the first half of 2014 were estimated at SYP 2, 537, 138 billion, according to Director General Ghazwan Kheirbek.

In a statement to SANA, Kheirbek also put the total shipping movements in the same period at 2.666 million tons of cargo.

The number of vessels which entered and left Tartous Port amounted to 472 ships and 18,701 containers.

The Director General said 5 to 6 vessels loaded with a variety of goods, be it bound for the local market or in transit, enter the port daily.
