Abdullahian: Events in Syria and Iraq emerged from erroneous policies of some regional and international countries

Tehran, SANA – Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdullahian stressed that the crisis in Syria and the situation in Iraq and the spread of terrorism in the region emerged from the erroneous policies of some regional and international countries.

During a meeting with Irish Assistant Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Barrie Robinson, Abdullahian pointed out that the wrong policies of some regional and international countries caused a lot of damage to the security of the region and the whole world.

He warned that terrorism will have global repercussions, calling for the necessity of adopting serious measures for countering terrorism and extremism.

For his part, Robinson expressed his country’s support to the political solution in Syria and rejection of sending weapons to the armed terrorist groups in it.

In a relevant context, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister, Murtaza Sarmadi said that the regional and international countries which mobilized all their potentials and recruited their political and economic tools and weaponry to topple the Syrian government acknowledged today their strategic mistake and that there is no military solution to the crisis in Syria.

During his meeting with Robinson, Sarmadi warned that the countries spending a lot of many to carry out their schemes in igniting violence in the region will witness the rebound of the terrorists from Syria and Iraq to these countries and will endanger their security.
