Information minister: Bilateral relations between Syria and Iran solid

Tehran, SANA- Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi affirmed that bilateral relations between Syria and Iran are solid and continuously developing thanks to the efforts of the Syrian and Iranian leaderships.

The minister added that uniting efforts is necessary to combat terrorism and Takfiri thought which constitutes a threat to the region and the entire world.

Al-Zoubi’s comments came during his visit to Tehran, heading a media delegation to participate in the 8th session of the General Assembly of Radio and TV Union of Islamic Countries (IRTVU) which will be held on August 16th and is due to last for three days.

The minister stated that the Information Ministry in Syria intends to promote media relations with Iran and to activate cooperation protocols between media institutions in both countries.

Hossein Nooshabadi, Assistant Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, stressed his country’s continuous support for Syria in facing the terrorist war which is waged against it, expressing Iran’s full readiness to cooperate with the Syrian Information Ministry to promote relations and media cooperation between both sides.

He noted that the leadership in Iran attaches great importance to what is happening in Syria and will always stand by the Syrian people, expressing confidence that Syria will triumph in the end.
