Provinces, SANA- Units of the army and armed forces on Saturday continued to launch wide-scale military operations against the Takfiri terrorist organizations across the country, killing scores of their members, and destroying their arms and ammunition.
Daraa
Units of the army and armed forces carried out intensive strikes against dens and positions of Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations in the southern Daraa province.
A military source told SANA that a unit of the army carried out a special operation against a position of the Takfiri terrorist organizations in al-Jhaira square in Bosra al-Sham city, 4o km to the east of Daraa city.
The source added that a number of terrorists were killed in the operation most of them from Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization.
An army unit also killed scores of the Takfiri terrorists and injured others in Um Walad village in the eastern countryside of the province, according to the source.
The army operations also targeted Rakhm al-Karak-Rakhm al-Mleiha al-Gharbieh axis 37 km to the east of Daraa city.
Meanwhile, dozens of terrorists were killed and their arms and ammunition were destroyed in operations carried out by an army unit against their positions in the surroundings of the Electricity Company, and to the west of al-Sad “Dam” and to the east of al-Masri Roundabout in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood.
Lattakia
A military source told SANA that an army unit carried out concentrated operations against dens and positions of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in the surroundings of Bardawan dam in the northern countryside of the coastal Lattakia province, which left 5 terrorists dead and 8 others injured, in addition to destroying two mortar emplacements and a heavy machinegun.
The Army’s Air Force also destroyed several vehicles along with the terrorists on board in al-Eido, al-Qastatel, and Marj al-Zawiye.
Idleb
In the northern province of Idleb, The army air force launched air strikes against movements and gatherings of
terrorists on Mhambel road and to the east of Kinsafra in the southeastern countryside of the northern Idleb province, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.
A number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were killed in army air strikes against their gatherings and hideouts in the villages of al-Ziyadiyeh, Tal al-Kfeir, Zaizoun, Safouhen, Frikeh, Qarqour, Kafr Owaid and in the city of Jisr al-Shughour in the southwestern countryside of the province.
More positions of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were targeted in air strikes in Kamp al-Alman on the outskirts of Zaizoun town.
In the southeastern countryside of Idleb, the army air force carried out air strikes against hideouts of terrorists affiliated to the so-called “Jaish al-Fateh” in Abu al-Duhour area and a number of surrounding villages and farms, killing a number of the and destroying their weapons.
Meanwhile, a number of terrorists were killed and injured in army air strikes in Jeb al-Ahmar village on the border with Lattakia province.
Aleppo
Army units established control over a number of building blocks in Sleiman al-Halabi area and eliminated many terrorists in al-Ashrafiye, Salaheddin, al-Rashidin, and al-Zahra’a in Aleppo city.
A military source told SANA that an army unit killed and injured many terrorists and destroyed a number of their vehicles in a series of precise operations targeting terrorists’ hideouts and concentrations in Rasm al-Abboud in Deir Haffer area in the southeastern countryside of Aleppo province.
Another unit killed many terrorists and destroyed their weapons and equipment in a precise operation targeting the terrorists’ hideouts and concentrations in Tal Establ in the eastern countryside and near the Scientific Research Center west of Aleppo city.
The source added that yet another unit carried out intensive strikes on hideouts and concentrations of ISIS terrorists in the surroundings of the Air Force Academy, killing a number of them destroying their weapons and munitions.
Al-Zabadani, Damascus Countryside
Army units, along with the Lebanese Resistance, have advanced further into al-Zabadani city, tightening the noose around the terrorist organizations in the middle of the city.
The military source explained to SANA that the army units and the Resistance forces have stepped up operations on various axes in the city, located to the north-west of Damascus, making advances from several directions.
The source said that the forces of the army and the resistance established control over al-Courniche roundabout in the southwestern part of the city after eliminating many terrorists and sending others fleeing, and that the army and the resistance have established fire cover over the roundabout and Amn al-Dawla Street and al-Mahata roundabout.
Meanwhile, field sources told SANA that the army units and the Resistance forces are combing several areas they had earlier taken control of in central al-Zabadani city.
The sources noted that the terrorist Ziad Nassif, a group’s leader within the so-called “Hamza Bin Abdul-Muttalib Battalions” was killed during operations on Friday.
The military operation in al-Zabadani, which is 11 km away from the Lebanese border, has continued for five weeks, during which the army and the Lebanese Resistance have inflicted heavy losses upon the terrorists.
Meanwhile, the army fired artillery shells at the dens and gatherings of terrorists in eastern and western Ghouta in Damascus countryside, killing a number of terrorists among them Libyans and Jordanians in Ein Tarma, Erbin, Douma-Al-Shifounieh road, al-Qassimieh village, east of al-Dmair town, Harasta, Deir al-Assafir, Zibdin and Darayya.
A total of 32 terrorists were confirmed dead during the army operations in the towns and villages of eastern and western Ghouta.
Homs
In central Syria, Army units, aided by the popular defense groups, carried out a large-scale operation against terrorists of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the eastern countryside of the central province of Homs.
Scores of ISIS terrorists were killed and their vehicles, some of which equipped with heavy machineguns, were destroyed in the city of Palmyra, to the east of Jazal gas field, and in the villages of al-Hadath and al-Hazm al-Westani.
The source added that another army unit killed a number of ISIS terrorists and left their equipment and vehicles destroyed in al-Qaryatain city and its surroundings, 85 km east of Homs city, while the Air Force destroyed a convoy of vehicles used by ISIS on the road linking al-Qaryatein and Mahin.
In the northern countryside of the province, an army unit targeted terrorists’ positions in the villages of Ezz-Eddin and al-Ghanto and in Talbiseh and east of Beit al-Manfa in al-Rastan area, killing a number of units and destroying their weapons and munitions.
Hama
In the neighboring Hama province, the army units carried out concentrated operations against gatherings of
terrorists in the villages of Diqmaq, al-Bahsa, al-Latamiheh, al-zakat, al-Qahira, Hmeimat and al-Hamidiyeh in the northwestern countryside.
Many terrorists were killed and others were injured during the operations, which also left their weapons and ammunition destroyed.
Sweida
A military source told SANA that army units eliminated a number of terrorists in Taloul Khalifa al-Janoubi in Sweida countryside.
The source added that the army also thwarted an infiltration attempt by a terrorist group from three directions towards Bouthaina hill, eliminating all its members.
