In a relevant context, ISIS terrorists detonated two car bombs in al-Villat al-Homr neighborhood in the eastern part of Hasaka city, according to field sources in the northeastern Hasaka province.

The sources told SANA that ISIS attack was an attempt to hold back the army units and the national backup forces and prevent their further advance on the city.

The army and national forces continued operations to expel ISIS terrorists from the neighborhoods they infiltrated on June 24th, re-establishing control over Ghweiran and al-Nashwa al-Sharqi neighborhoods last week.

The two terrorist explosions, the sources affirmed, caused no human casualties, but left huge material damage.

Meanwhile, an ISIS mortar shell hit the building of the Civil Register Department in Hasaka city, causing a fire to break out.
