Damascus, SANA – The Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Ministry denounced in the strongest term the terrorist bombing carried out by ISIS in Kuwait on Friday.
In a statement, the Ministry said that this heinous attack, which had targeted Al-Imam al-Sadeq Mosque in Kuwait during Friday prayers, is part of the terrorist war waged on the Arab and Islamic nations in particular and the whole world in general.
The Ministry noted that Syria, which suffered many barbaric terrorist attacks at the hands of ISIS, al-Nusra, and other terrorist organization, had warned against the threat of terrorism which is receiving support from the Saudi and Qatari regimes and Erdogan’s government, all while the international community remains suspiciously silent.
The statement also pointed out that Syria reiterates its calls for an organized and calculated international effort to combat terrorism both as a mentality and as organizations, and that these calls were made based on its painful experiences and the lessons learned from its confrontations with terrorism.
The Ministry said that Syria offers the sincerest condolences to the people of Kuwait and prays for the souls of the martyrs killed by the attack on the Mosque.
The terrorist attack in question, which took place in al-Sawaber area in the heart of Kuwait city, claimed 26 lives and injured dozens.
