Provinces, SANA – The army intensified operations in the southern region and elsewhere in the country, inflicting heavy losses upon terrorist organizations in personnel and equipment.
Qalamoun, Damascus Countryside
Army units, in cooperation with the Lebanese National Resistance, established control over Qirnet Shaab al-Nusoub, Qirnet Abu Harb, Qirnet Samaan in al-Jarajir barrens in the mountainous Qalamoun area, Damascus Countryside.
This came after heavy clashes with terrorists that resulted in the death of many terrorists, the injury of many others and the destruction of amounts of weaponry and ammunition.
Later, a Syrian Arab Army unit, in cooperation with the Lebanese Resistance, reestablished control over Qernet Shmeis al-Husan southwest of al-Jarajir barrens in al-Qalamoun area.
Sweida
An army unit killed numbers of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and destroyed their vehicles in Rashid water wells compound in the countryside of the southern Sweida province, a military source told SANA.
Earlier, the army units foiled several attempts by terrorists to infiltrate al-Tha’leh airport, leaving at least a 100 of them killed, in addition to destroying dozens of armored vehicles.
Daraa
An army unit carried out a special operation to the west of Atman town, 4 km to the north of Daraa city, leaving all members of a terrorist group dead, in addition to destroying two vehicles.
A number of terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra and “Al-Muthanna Islamic Movement” were killed in operations in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood in Daraa city.
Hours before, the army established full control on 16 building blocks to the south-west of SyriaTel building in Daraa al-Balad.
In the same context, the Army Air Force targets terrorists’ positions in the towns of Nawa, Um Walad and al-Karak al-Sharqi in the countryside of Daraa province, killing many terrorists and destroying their vehicles.
Homs
An army unit killed all members of a terrorist group who attempted to infiltrate from the Lebanese territories towards al-Arida village in the countryside of Tal Kalakh in the countryside of Homs province.
Another army unit killed ISIS terrorists and destroyed their vehicles in al-Sammamat area in the countryside of Palmyra in Homs.
A number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were killed and others were injured in army operations that targeted their dens in al-Rastan city and al-Hamrat village in Talbiseh area in the northern countryside of Homs province.
An army unit and the border guards clashed with an armed terrorist group who tried to infiltrate from Wadi Khaled through al-Zaalan crossing towards the countryside of Tal Kalakh.
The clashes resulted in killing most of the terrorist group’s members, while some others fled towards the Lebanese territories.
Meanwhile, the Army air force destroyed ISIS gatherings and dozens of its vehicles in the area surrounding Jazal Field and al-Sukhna- Palmyra Road in the eastern countryside of Homs.
Idleb
The Syrian Arab Army’s Air Force carried out an air strike on a terrorist hideout in Kafr Aweid village in the southeast countryside of Jisr al-Shoughor in Idleb province.
A military source said that the air strike resulted in the death of many terrorists, including group leaders, one of which was Abu Ahmad al-Darwish, a leader in Jaish al-Fateh terrorist organization.
The Air Force also launched intensive air strikes in the southeast countryside of Idleb, destroying vehicles and dens of terrorist organizations in Abu al-Dohour, al-Majas, Hmeimat, al-Dabshi, and al-Habeit, killing many terrorists.
Air strikes also targeted concentrations of Jabhet al-Nusra terrorists in the areas of al-Ter’a, Kafr Nobbol, Tal Salmo, Oum Jireen, the surroundings of Abu al-Duhour, Sallet al-Zuhour, Safouhen, and Bezzit north of Jist al-Shughour, leaving many terrorists dead, injuring others, and destroying several of their machinegun-equipped vehicles.
Hasaka
The Army air force destroyed a convoy of vehicles for ISIS terrorists in the southern countryside of Hasaka province, killing many of terrorists and injuring many others.
Army units in cooperation with popular defense groups clashed with ISIS members in the area surrounding Jisr Abyad southeast of Hasaka city.
The clashes resulted in the death of many terrorists, the injury of many others and the destruction of their weapons and a number of their vehicles.
An Army unit eliminated many ISIS terrorists and destroyed a vehicle with all terrorists onboard in the area surrounding Kaka Said village.
Quneitra
A military source said that Army units eliminated many terrorists in Nabe’a al-Sakhr, al-Muraba’at, and the surroundings of Mas’hara hill in Quneitra countryside.
Aleppo
A military source said that Army units eliminated many terrorists, injured others, and destroyed several of their machinegun-equipped vehicles in the surroundings of the Air Force Academy, Kafr Hamra, Bab al-Nairab, al-Maiser, Tal al-Zarazir, al-Shaar, al-Marjeh, Qadi Askar, al-Sheikh Mustafa, and the Old City in Aleppo and its countryside.
Hama
A military source said the Army’s Air Force eliminated many terrorists, injured others, and destroyed several of their machinegun-equipped vehicles in Jana al-Ulbawi, al-Uqairibat, al-Qastal al-Westani, Abu Jbailat, Qleib al-Thawr, and Qastoun in Hama countryside.
