Hasaka, SANA – Hasaka governor Mohammad Za’al al-Ali on Wednesday dismissed as groundless the reports of the mass media, involved in the shedding of the Syrian blood, on the security situation in the city of Hasaka in an desperate attempt to undermine the stability and national unity of the city.
Al-Ali told SANA that the courageous armed forces working in Hasaka, supported by all components of the people of the city continued their war against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist organization.
Re-emphasizing the complete safety of the city, the governor called upon all the citizens not to be driven behind rumors aiming at destabilizing the city and putting pressures on its residents.
Earlier Wednesday, army units clashed with terrorists of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) around the Juvenile Delinquency Institute and the main electricity station and in Sakhr village in the southern countryside of the northeastern province.
A source in the province told SANA that the clashes resulted in inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorists.
The source pointed out that ISIS terrorists tried to storm into the Juvenile Delinquency Institute’s building, which is still under construction, using five car bombs, and later in the day an ISIS suicide terrorist blew up a car bomb near the main electricity station, causing the station to go out of service.
