Syrian student in India awarded by Council of International Schools

New Delhi, SANA The Council of International Schools (CIS) granted the Syrian student Elissar Awwad, who is studying in India, an International Student Award in appreciation of her role in enhancing global citizenship and developing international awareness in society.

Dr. Nick Argent Director of the British School in India, which Awwad went to, handed over the award to the Syrian student during a graduation ceremony.

Elissar chaired the Students Board at the school. She greatly contributed to enhancing rapprochement and understanding among the students of the school, who are of more than 65 nationalities.

The Council of International Schools is a global, non-profit, membership organization through an integrated portfolio of services. Its core service areas are School Support and Evaluation, Educator Recruitment, and Higher Education.
