Provinces, SANA – The army and armed forces continued operations against Takfiri terrorists of different organisations and groups in different areas of the country, killing them and destroying their dens and hideouts.
Qalamoun, Damascus Countryside
An army unit, in cooperation with the Lebanese Resistance, seized a facility for making explosive devices and shells used by terrorists in the mountains of Fleita in Qalamoun area, Damascus Countryside.
The facility was found inside a hideout for terrorists to the west of Sadr al-Bustan hill opposite to the mountains overlooking the Lebanese Arsal town, according to a military source.
The army engineering units detonated the explosive devices, which were made of highly explosive materials, without causing any casualties.
The 2600 m high Sadr al-Bustan hill came under the full control of the army and the Lebanese Resistance yesterday. It is a strategic hill given its location to north of Tal’et Moussa Mount. It also overlooks the rest of the mountains of Fleita and al-Jarajir and a large part of Arsal mountains.
Meanwhile, a number of terrorists, mostly from Jabhat al-Nusra, were killed in an army operation against their den around Saasaa town in the southwestern countryside of Damascus.
Another army operation targeted groups and dens of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Khan al-Shih in the same area, leaving more terrorists dead or injured.
Idleb
A military source told SANA that more than 300 terrorists were killed and hundreds of others were injured during the army’s raids that were carried out in the framework of breaking the almost month-long siege on the National Hospital of Jisr al-Shughour.
The soldiers defending the hospital broke the siege on Friday in an operation that was coordinated with airstrikes and artillery firing.
Daraa
The army carried out strikes on terrorists’ dens in the villages of al-Karak al-Sharqi and al-Ghariyeh al-Gharbiyeh and in the towns of al-Hrak and Nahta in the northeastern countryside of the southern Daraa province.
Many terrorists were killed and others were injured in the strikes, and their vehicles, which were equipped with various machineguns, were destroyed or damaged.
A number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were also killed and their vehicles were destroyed in army operations to the north of al-Ghizlan farm and Jassem city in the northern countryside of Daraa.
A special operation carried out by an army unit left a number of terrorists dead or wounded and their arms and ammunition destroyed in the towns of Kafr Shams and Kafr Nasej in the northwestern countryside.
The army units killed dozens of terrorists and destroyed 5 of their vehicles, a mortar base and two heavy machineguns in Daraa al-Balad.
Meanwhile, terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages the killing of a number of their members during army operations, including Arafat al-Qadiri, a leader within the so-called “Shuhadaa al-Yarmouk Brigade” and terrorist Jamal Eddin al-Masri, a leader within the so-called “Asoud al-Suna Group”, and a terrorist nicknamed Abu al-Fidaa, a senior sniper within Jabhat al-Nusra.
Quneitra
Army units destroyed hideouts for Jabhet al-Nusra terrorists in the town of al-Samadaniye al-Gharbiye in Quneitra’s southern countryside, killing and injuring a number of terrorists and destroying their weapons and ammo.
A military source said that another army unit eliminated a number of terrorists and injured others in Oum Batina village 6km east of Quneitra city.
Army operations in the village of al-Mshairfeh in the province’s southeastern countryside resulted in the death and injury of terrorists and the destruction of their weapons and ammo.
Aleppo
Army units killed a number of terrorists and destroyed their vehicles and machineguns in al-Sheikh Saeed, al-Sukkari, Zeitan, Bashkwi, Deir Jamal, Mayir, al- Ashrafyeh, Aziza and near the air force academy in Aleppo and its countryside.
The army also destroyed a tunnel in Bustan al-Qasr area.
Deir Ezzor
Army units, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, established control over a number of areas adjacent to Deir Ezzor Airport, killing and injuring dozens of the ISIS terrorists in the process.
The army also destroyed ISIS gatherings and hideouts in the areas of al-Mohassan and al- Mari’yeh, killing dozens of terrorists and destroying a number of their vehicles.
Sweida
The army units also carried out a number of operations against terrorists’ hideouts and concentrations in al-Qasr area in Sweida northeastern countryside, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their vehicles and weapons.
