Homs Governor Talal al-Barazi stressed the need for doubling efforts in the upcoming stage in the field of relief and setting a plan to secure aid and relief services.
During a meeting with Sub-committee of Relief, representatives of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent And the UN offices in the province, al-Barazi pointed out to the need for delivering relief aid to people in need, particularly in the tense areas.
He pointed out that the Old city of Homs is witnessing the return of its citizens, adding that the citizens of al-Husn city and some villages to the west of al-Assi (Orontes River) will return to their homes in a week.
Directors of the UN’s offices in Homs affirmed that work at the province is concentrated on removing wreckage to enable institutions to meet their duties.
They also presented a number of plans to speed up securing services at the Old City of Homs.
