Damascus, SANA- Under the title “Syrians build Syria,” the second exhibition for reconstruction in Syria kicked off on Monday at Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus, with the participation of around 42 local and foreign companies and a number of embassies.
The exhibition is organized by the Syrian International Marketing Association (SIMA) in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works and the Federation of the Syrian Chambers of Commerce.
Minister of Public Works Hussein Arnous affirmed the importance of the exhibition in acquainting companies with investment opportunities in Syria, pointing out that the exhibition is a step towards preparation for the reconstruction process.
Arnos said that everyone who had stood with Syria during the crisis will be a main part in the reconstruction process, adding that the attendance of several foreign companies in the exhibition shows these companies’ readiness to contribute in reconstruction.
He also asserted that criminal acts and vandalism will not hinder Syrians from building their country.
The exhibition will last for three days and covers various fields such building and construction services, real estate services, engineering services, interior and exterior design, energy, technical consultations, infrastructure, mechanical contracting, and banks and insurance companies, in addition to a number of lectures.
