Amman, SANA-Syrian al-Wahda football team tied with Jordanian counterpart al-Wahdat 1-1 in a match held on Wednesday within the first group of the Asian Cup championship.

With this result, al-Wahda kept its place at the lead of the group.

Jordanian al-Wahdat team scored first at the 26^th minute of the match through a penalty kick, while Syrian al-Wahda scored at the end of the match.

Al-Wahda has to win the next match with Omani al-Nahda due on April 28^th to qualify to the second round of the championship.
