Saudi Arabia, Egypt call for preserving Syria’s unity and sovereignty

Riyadh, SANA-Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt on Monday called for preserving Syria’s unity and sovereignty, condemning the Israeli violations of Syrian territory.

Al-Ahram Gate site said the two sides held a meeting by the political follow-up and consultation committee between the two countries in Riyadh, headed by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty.

During the meeting, both sides stressed the need to keep Syria’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, rejecting all forms of foreign interference, supporting a comprehensive political process, combatting terrorism, and condemning the repeated Israeli violations of Syrian sovereignty.
