Chinese President calls on US not to cross ‘Four Red Lines’ in relations with Beijing

Lima, SANA- Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on United States not to cross the red line in its support for Taiwan.

“Taiwan issue, democracy and human rights, as well as China’s political and economic system and development interests, are China’s four red lines that should not be questioned,” Xi was quoted by state broadcaster “CCTV” as saying in a statement during a meeting with outgoing US President Joe Biden, on sidelines of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Peruvian capital, Lima.

President Xi Jinping underscored that Washington should not interfere in bilateral disputes and should not support provocative acts in South China Sea, noting that these are the most important guarantees for China-US relations.

Chinese president condemned the separatist acts of Taiwanese officials, stressing that they run counter to peace and security in the region.
