Iranian army: Number of martyrs in Israeli aggression rises to 4, most damage repaired

Tehran, SANA- The number of martyrs in the treacherous Israeli aggression that targeted several sites in Iran early Saturday has risen to four, the Iranian army announced.

“Two more soldiers have succumbed to wounds sustained in the Zionist aggression on the territory of the Islamic Republic,” Iranian news agency (IRNA) quoted the army as saying in a statement Saturday.

In turn, the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces said in a statement “In a blatant violation of international law, Zionist enemy aircraft launched a blatant aggression on Iran using airspace controlled by the American terrorist army in Iraq, around 100 kilometers from Iran’s borders, several long-range, air-launched missiles with very light warheads – about one-fifth the size of Iranian ballistic missile warheads – were fired at some border radar stations in the provinces of Ilam, Khuzestan, and near Tehran.”

“Thanks to the timely action of our country’s air defense, limited and minor damage was inflicted, affecting a few radar systems, some of which have already been repaired while others are under repair,” the statement read.

The statement stressed that “Iran reserves the right to a legitimate and lawful response at an appropriate time.”
