Pezeshkian: West’s support for Zionist entity endangers world security of the region and the world

Tehran, SANA- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that the silence of the international community and the support of Western countries for the crimes of the Zionist entity encourages the entity to continue its crimes and threatens the security of the region and the world

According to IRNA news agency, Pezeshkian discussed in a phone call with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Monday evening ways to improve relations between the two countries, as well as ways to bring peace and stability to the region and the world.

President Pezeshkian affirmed that the silence of the international community in the face of the unprecedented and inhumane crimes of the Zionist regime and the support of certain Western states for this regime are contrary to international norms and encourage it to continue atrocities and threatens peace and security in the region and the world.

Pezeshkian stated that from the point of view of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the war in any part of the world is not in the interest of any country, emphasizing that a punitive response to an aggressor is a legal right of states and a way to stop crime and aggression.

Pezeshkian also pointed out to the relations between Iran and UK and the importance of resuming the nuclear negotiations, considering that implementing all commitments by both parties constitutes a condition for the success of these talks.

Starmer, for his part, stressed the need to end a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the quick provision of humanitarian aid for the residents of the Gaza Strip and Iran’s role in this regard.

The British premier announced his country’s readiness to expand ties with Iran during his tenure, expressing hope that new ambassadors of the two countries will start their tasks as soon as possible.
