Syrian Citizens continue to flock to polling stations in provinces to cast their votes in People’s Assembly elections

Provinces, SANA- Citizens headed to polling stations in the provinces with the opening of ballot boxes at 7:00 a.m. to cast their votes in the People’s Assembly elections for the 4th legislative term.

The number of candidates has reached to 1,516, competing for 250 seats in the People’s Assembly, as well as 8,151 polling stations have been designated in all provinces.

In Deir Ezzor, voters headed to the polling stations in the province to select 14 members to represent the province from among 43 candidates for membership in the new Cabinet.

The head of the Judicial Sub-Committee for Elections, Judge Hussein al-Zaghir, stated that the number of polling stations in the province is 275, in addition to a center designated for the people of Raqqa province and another for the people of Quneitra province.

In Aleppo province and its countryside, head of Judicial Sub-Committee for Elections for Aleppo city, Judge Counselor Hassan Nasser noted that the number of polling stations reached 1105 centers, as the ballot boxes were distributed to all the polling stations and equipped with all the necessary supplies for the electoral process.

In Quneitra, the Secretary-General of the province, Maher al-Asaad, pointed out that the number of polling stations reached 170, distributed across the provinces of Damascus, its countryside, and Daraa, in addition to Quneitra province.
