Cairo, SANA –The Arab Parliament condemned the Israeli occupation’s attempts to classify UNRWA as a terrorist organization, criminalize its activities, and lift the immunity of its employees, considering this an extension of its criminal attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause and eliminate the right of return for Palestinian refugees.
Arab parliamenstressed in a press statement , which was reported by the Wafa Agency, the important and major role of UNRWA, which provides aid and relief to about 6.4 million Palestinian refugees, including two million refugees in the Gaza Strip who are exposed to unprecedented aggression, war of extermination and starvation.
It called on the international community, international organizations and human rights organizations to assume their responsibilities towards stopping these crimes and repeated violations, and the necessity of providing international protection for the Palestinian people, and the necessity of taking immediate and effective action and obligating the occupation to stop these ongoing and continuous violations of the rules of law international humanitarian law.
